At Renaissance we understand that one of the most important decisions for any dentist is to determine the amount to charge patients for services rendered. Unfortunately, with administrative workload, crisis management, and staffing issues this decision is listed low on most dentists' priority lists.
Unlike other reports based on surveys, Rfees offers a fee schedule analysis based on millions of actual claims submitted by dental offices in your practice zip code. Released twice a year, Rfees is available for your practice by zip3 or zip5 regions.
Claims are the heart of our business so naturally we have access to lots of claims information. Twice a year tens of millions of claims are analyzed and turned into valuable geographical dental fee reports for you to use as a benchmark when examining your fee schedule.
For example, Dr. Brown owns a practice in Indiana with a zip code of 46236. In 2007, he performed 2,000 Periodic Oral Evaluations and charged $37.00 for each.
According to our report, which is based on actual submitted claims the average price charged (or 50th percentile) by dentists who share the first 3 digits of Dr. Brown's zip code is $39.00. This means that Dr. Brown is charging $2 less per evaluation than the average fee charged by dentists in his community.
If Dr. Brown does the math, he could earn an additional $4,000 a year by increasing the amount he charges $2 or more to meet the average fee for Periodic Oral Evaluation in his community.
