Sending claims with Remote Lite is as easy as printing your claims and sending an email. The sending process includes selecting the claims, printer setup, printing the claims, then opening Remote Lite and clicking Send/Receive. There are two types of fee reports available in the industry. Those based on “surveys” (where data is subject to a practice voluntarily submitting vital information) and those based on actual claim data. Survey type reports cover a limited number of procedure codes, and the rest are estimated (and typically sell for $200 or less). Actual claim data reporting is by far the most accurate type of fee report. R-Fees is based on thousands of actual claim data submitted in a geographical area. A new R-Fees report is released twice a year and contains information based on tens of thousands of actual claims submitted to insurance companies within the last year. The spring edition of R-Fees comes available for purchase in early April and the fall edition comes available in early October.
The ADA publishes a detailed report very 2-3 years. These reports contain solid information; however, the data is always several years behind the market rate for each procedure code. R-Fees is updated twice a year and uses claim data from the previous calendar year to accurately provide you with some insight on what your competition is charging for services rendered.
